From the Head of School
I consider myself blessed and privileged to be part of the once-in-a lifetime opportunity in front of us. To fundamentally shape the next hundred years for St. John’s Episcopal School and change the landscape of downtown Tampa by adding a new, 90,000 square foot school building and playing field is truly rare. I have never been more excited than I am about this master plan and capital campaign.
Master Planning and successful capital campaigns transform much more than just school facilities. They also transform the lives of generations of children, as well as the lives of those who through their gifts make so much possible for so many others. Yes – the feeling of accomplishment at helping raise the money needed is powerful, but not nearly as powerful as the lifelong bond created among a community of people who believe in something greater than themselves, who come together to make it happen, and who will leave an indelible legacy. I can't wait to stand at the doors of this new campus, alongside the philanthropic visionaries and leaders of the campaign and see the faces of the children as they enter their “new school,” to see the impact of all we have accomplished.
Our time is now. I invite you to join me on this incredible journey and make your gift or pledge to our campaign, “A Place to Grow.”
Best,
Hugh Jebson
